Synchronous Ectopic Pancreases in the Cardia and Antrum of the Stomach: A Case Report
نویسندگان
چکیده
sory, or aberrant pancreas is a pancreatic tissue without anatomic and vascular continuity within the main body of the gland, and is most commonly found in the antrum of the stomach, duodenum, or proximal jejunum (1, 2). Ectopic pancreas in the proximal stomach has been rarely reported (3). However, the coexistence of two ectopic pancreases at the gastric cardia and antrum in a patient has not been previously reported. Here, we present a case of the coexistence of two ectopic pancreases at the cardia and antrum of the stomach in a 60-year-old man.

However, definitive histo...

Here, we report a case of a 50-year-old female, who presented with weakness, pallor, and symptoms of gastric outlet obstruction. A partial gastrectomy was done and histology showed evidence of adenosquamous carcinoma of the antrum with metastasis to the perigastric lymph nodes. The patient condition ...
متن کاملGastric hamartomatous inverted polyp mimicking ectopic pancreas on endoscopy and endosonography.
Gastric hamartomatous inverted polyp (HIP) is difficult to diagnose preoperatively because of its rarity [1,2]. It is pathologically benign, but has been reported as a paracancerous lesion [3–5], and therefore its diagnosis and treatment are clinically important. We report a case of gastric HIP and focus on its special characteristics on endoscopy and endosonography. An 18-mm submucosal tumor w...

Background: Many recent studies have examined potential risk factors of H. pylori gastritis to improve our understanding of the early events in gastric carcinogenesis. We evaluated the extent and topography of chronic gastritis in a high risk area for gastric cardia cancer and investigated the critical role of H.pylori, risk index and age in its pathogenesis. Materials and Methods: During a na...
